Asana task widget plugin released

Update 25/05/2012:  And it’s up on the WordPress plugin repository as well.

Well, this is almost as exciting for me as the day I put my first book up on Amazon.  My Asana plugin for WordPress is out now.  I have submitted it to the WordPress plugin repository, but they are still reviewing it.  If you’ve been hanging out for a plugin and you don’t want to wait, though, you can download it here.

At the moment, it’s a pretty simple plugin, because I didn’t want to throw in a whole lot of features that wouldn’t be useful.  All it does is add a dashboard widget that shows tasks that are due today, as well as tasks that you’ve marked to work on today.  So if you aren’t using due dates or marking what you want to work on, this plugin won’t do much for you in its current state.  I’m planning to add task creation to the plugin in the next version.

Obviously, you’re going to need an Asana account to use this plugin.  If you don’t have an account, but you like the idea of really simple and elegant task management, head over and check Asana out.

If you have questions, bug reports or any other feedback, or if you’d like to suggest a new feature, get in touch, or leave a comment below.
